With Southern Lights coming up A little song comes to my head

If you have not seen "Into The Wild" then WATCH IT! RENT IT! do what ever you can cos its such a great film, people that are a little sick of the normal 9-5 will be inspired but this movie.

Showing that conformaty is not the only why to really be.

I cant wait for this weekend, It starts tomorrow for me but will go on till Monday

Not to say that its the last of all the photos but its going to be the last full set (outa 1293 pic's I've only uploaded about 100). I have since put some on FB but as you know I dont like uploading to there service, as they like to keep your rights as there own.

1st Set Of SL Pics

These shots are taken on the 1st night(Sat) just after the early show. Greenie Boing and Kyrill jioned us with the skills. M.L and I worked on the photos, M.L showed me some cool tricks with the flash that really made some of the shots pop.

Working on Shots

Nearly every time I go out I have my camera on me, You never know what you might see or what might happen. On occasions I have it for events... say raves or shoots or in this case Festival.

Trouble with that is you end up with alot of pics, pics that need space on hard drives and pics that need sorting. right now I'am working my way through just over 1200 photos I took over the weekend. 1200 photos for someone with Digital O.C.D's. (props to fluff for that one btw) that's a lot of work for me.

As for the photos of the festival - Some are great but non are perfect, You need to work on each and everyone to get that pro look (I don't have the skill both on camera and in Photo-shop) but I know what im looking to get and i work hard on getting what I want.

In the last year, photograph has slowly taken over my life, the time I would play games or work on my poi has taken a back seat to everything SLR... Its going to make me a poor man but I'm loving it while I have it.

Wish me luck the rest of the photos as im only on the 1st full day! shit !

Southern Lights Festival 2010

I am running out of words to say about this weekend, in short...... IT ROCKED!!

Southern Lights is "Now in our fourth year, Southern Lights Festival is an established event with circus workshops, street entertainment, music and DJ's, a show on saturday night and an open stage, all set in beautiful English countryside with stunning views of the 'Jurassic Coast'."

With all kind's of cool cat hippie and Raving head cases, this group of Circus people with there hoops and staffs, poi and clubs, Slack lines and god knows what else. With live shows, bands and chill out zones (Thanks to the spinning @ crew).

Most of the friend that I have made at spits I got to spend some more time with and really enjoy spending much more time with. but for the people that could not make it, We had Joe and in that way - You was all there.

Buzzing from the Weekend!!

Wow what a weekend for the skinny boy....

Southern lights was a fucking blast and I had alot of fun, Learning for some of the poi greats like Gee and Jason. The Spinning @ crew was loving and great as i have come to expect (Kev the place was great!).

there is going to be a lot of pic's on the site and more blogs about the weekend BUT my mum has come to stay with us tonight so I don't wanna be rude.

Wanna have new toys for the summer

Well now that i know I'm going to the Festival in June I'm on the look out for some new poi.

This are the fire snakes from Saiza, do look really cool. I got my duble fire poi from these guys and even through there not broken i would still tell people they great. I am very hard on all of my poi and I have broken nearly all of them at one stage or another.

I had a little play with these a few years back and there really good. Hot as hell, magma flames and dam good looking

I'm JUST to book my tickets to Southern Lights Festival 2010.

For the ones that don't know its a weekend festival for juggles and spinners alike, Anyone thats into the Performing arts is going to be there.

This is on from the 11th till the 13th June and most of the guys from Spits are going to be there, Camping out in the sticks and setting ourself on fire for the full weekend (Don't worry we do it all the time)

Early bird tickets run out on the 1st March so to get 15% off get them before hand.
NOT AS PLUG I DONT GET ANYTHING FOR THIS!

But then im hoping to see you all there spinning and just having lots of fun.

Southern Lights Festival 2010

This year im thinking of doing a Festival but unlike most that are coming up in the summer, I'm not after a music one, shit piling all over the place, dirty people and un-washed cloths. This is not really my bad, having an O.C.D about clean things and I must say that most music these days sucks monkey dick.

Most Tuesdays I head up to Liverpool St. There is a juggles club that does lots of different things, Poi and staff are the 2 reasons that I go, but i have made a some friends there, A few have told me about a Festival that sounds like something i might like. A circus arts show over the weekend, 3nights of workshops, music and stage shows. Camping and random chats seam to be what everyone who went say about it.

Now its coming back around to Summer and this time im going to try my best to go. This years event is in Kimmeridge (Deep south), over the weekend of 11th - 13th of June.

I'm not sure at this moment if I'm going alone or will find some friends down there. But even if I do go it alone, I have a feeling that ill make some friends non the less.
