The Swedish adventurer

Right now im sitting in a swedish coffee shop... Well its a starbucks but hay thats not the point.

I have my lapptop on my lap, and a chi in my hand, This is my 1st time in Sweden since last summer and I really am looking forward to an amazing weekend. To spend some time with Fluff and the family, to rock out to the killers and to just have a blast. 

This might be my only blog from sweden itself but I do think that when I get back I will have somethingg to tell and I am really looking forward to living in the moment with someone I loved spending so much time with not that long ago... 

Lets hope this is a weekend to remember and not a wreckend to forget - Wish me luck

Midsummer!

For the people that dont know

   

 The celebration of Midsummer's Eve was from ancient times a festival of the summer solstice. Some people believed that golden-flowered mid-summer plants, especially Calendula, and St. John's Wort, had miraculous healing powers and they therefore picked them on this night. Bonfires were lit to protect against evil spirits which were believed to roam freely when the sun was turning southwards again.

In Sweden, Mid-summer celebration originates from the time before Christianity; it was celebrated as a sacrifice time in the sign of the fertility

Anyways... Every year a load of Swedes all meet up in Hyde park and have a little picnic and a bit to drink. So I went off to join my Swedish friends and get to have some fun.  

the day was alot of fun and for once I was up very early, 10 in the morning! I know - what a shock for this trainee vampire. I spent the next 8 hours sitting in the park with alot to drink, amazing food and a game of Kubb (a lawn game where you knock over wooden blocks by throwing wooden sticks at them.)

Before long I had to leave but it was a really nice day with great friends and a great start to one crazy weekend!

Swedish Summer Holiday 2011

Sorry about the lack of posts lately, I am in Sweden and as were in at the farm house there is a lack of internet... I realy need to get a lappy of my own to edit photos and blog from.

Anyways, I have had loads of adventers and seen new bit of Sweden that I had only herd about before... As I will be coming home tomorrow I shall have loads of cool and new photos to show you and some blogs to explan things with pics to show them.

So far its been really chilled and I have enjoy myself alot. Seeing the family and the cats is always so nice, I never want to leave this place as its so magical to me... I could not think of a better place to growe up as a child.

Loads more photos to follow once I get home and can start going through them all.... and there is a lot hehe!

Swedes screwed by Their Own System

Follow this story...

Your in an accident or ill and your on your way to the doctors, You get their and you find out that you have to see someone that has not yet finished their training. You ask can I see a fully trained doctor and they say nope, The people in charge don't wanna pay them the money that they should after going through the education.

Bit of a shitty story right....

Well this same thing is happening all over Sweden with their Dancers, ok ok I know that doctors are very different from dancers but as my girl is a dancer is pretty fucking important to me(and her)

Its come out that the head of one of the biggest dance schools in Stockholm is putting its student's into work that professional dancers should be getting and causing the standards to slip and the money payed tobe lowered.

Dancers go through alot in their training and if their money and jobs are not their are the end of their education then who is going to go through the hurt and pain, trails and trumps to become a great dancer.

This is not just happing in all the big talent shows where their unwilling to pay professional dancers like Swedish Idle and eurovision song contest are doing this all the time.

Sorry to the readers that are not Swedish and dancers but I just felt that this needed to be said somewhere that is not going to disappear once the news feed refreshes

Bored games are Fun

Tonight we had some time together, Alice got a game called Spank the Monkey from "C"... It was a really fun thing to play, You build a tower of rubbish so you can reach the monkey at the top and you "Spank" him... With attack and defend cards to play so you can brake the other players towers it really is alot of fun.

I would say check it out as its loads of fun and playing it in English would make me feel alot better as I cant read that much Swedish.

White Lund!

Welcome to Lund... And welcome to the cold winter snow.

Lund has had snow since the middle of November and its not stoped since, with temperches of as low as -11 its been making my nose very red, As I have said before it makes me laugh that London stops with as little as a leaf on the line when in Lund there still going when there cars looks like this...

Skins 1st time Pulka (Sledding)

Skinny has done many things in his life, but there is also alot that I have not done... Bulding a snow man is one, and Sledding is another. With all this snow here in Lund we should take the time to do both. Sledding is now done. And here is the Video to prove it.

Late Xmas Blog

This is a little late of a blog for Christmas but I'm using my phone for the photos as I dont have the tools (or leads to use my slr with me) So I'm sorry for the bad quietly for pics but its the best I can do for now.

This is the Gonta Xmas Tree (after Christmas day hence the lack of things under) but on the day there was loads of nice wraped things there... Between books and games, candle holders and very warm slippers!

Fluff got my 2 little wrap up things and I love them, So far I have only played one(Prototype) but Iäm kinda saving Terminator for when I get home to see it on the BIG screen lol

Sorry about the lack of my pics but not being at home with my computer and using a Lappy for the pics and a lack of a editing tool I have been a little rubbish, Looking forward to getting my MacBook so I can play with them on the go and edit no matter where in the world I am, But if you wish to add to this fund then I'll be happy to take some donations for it lol.

1st day in Lund

Today was the frist day in Lund and we had to do some shopping for last minute gifts.

This town is tiny and very buretfully while covered in snow, Fluff and I went around the shops looking for loads of little things as well as some late birthday gifts for the family as we were not here back then.

The Xbox that I took with me for the family looks to be going down well so we get Christian a game to play while his here. As I got a new Xbox-s for my bday, I have given my old one for the family to use as a DVD player but also something the guys can play on as well...

We also had "Little Christmas" a small meeting of the family where we have some fun and get ready for the next day. (The Sweds have Xmas on the 24th and not the 25th as in London)

Swedish Pussel 2010

I dont know If this is a Swedish thing or just something alot of my Swedish friends like to do, but every year we all get together and make Xmas cards and Swedish cakes.

This year we did 2 as everyone could not make a single night... But I was free both nights so it was cool. 1st night was at Happy-streets flat and it was all about the baking. With lussecats and some lovly Glögg, and chats about the different worlds we live it, Was like the old days of just hanging out again... and I loved it

Gotta love them Swedish Nibbles!

The 1st of Advent

Today is the 1st Sunday of advent. the Swedish have a tradition of lighting a candle from today and every Sunday till Christmas day... 4 in total.

So in a round about way, tonight it the 1st night of putting Christmas decorations up. I know that in the next few days the flat is going to get all shiny and green. All I know is that i'm not having a real tree this year.

The 22nd

Sorry for the crud photo but im pushed for time today.

Apart from Chistian coming it was mostly a chilled day, We feed the cats and had a lovely meal. Popped into Vellingen to get a movie (napoleon dynomight) and in the evening, me and Chris played some poi. Its so nice to just have fun and not HAVE to do anything at all.

A run through Malmö & alot of walking

Today was a very sweet day, we had to get back to the farm house as the brother in law was due to come up. We also had an extra guest in HappyStrets mum was popping by.

But 1st on the list was to run into malmö to have a little look around the shops we missed yesterday. We did not see that much but in Indska we found a baby lamp very much like the full size one we have in the flat now. Its tiny and cute so we picked it up for 299:-

The to find a bus to Landet(the county), the 150 took us all the way there... It was a really nice trip and Fluff and I had to walk down the long road to the house with the sun beating down on us. You can feel like a king sometimes on this road.

After a great dinner we went for a walk on that same road again as the sun was setting. This is something that we do every year but this year it was extra nice, DaddyP was running and shot right pasted us like a stream train, but before to long the alk came to an end as a bee the size of your thumb smacked me in the arm. This is the same type of bee that attacked us a few years ago but there was more that time - evil giant bee's

Now for my last blog update tonight

Today Fluff and I went into Malmö. Were staying in the Town tonight so we could get some things to watch at the Farm house and chill out up here.

We had a long walk around the shops and then headed for a little paster place Fluff went back in then days of the One Dance Stuido. I got a plate so big that not even I could finish it... WOW!

After a little bit more walking we got on the train and then the bus to the townhouse, after a little chat with my favort prodigal son exiled in norwegian. We watch a little so you think you can dance (LINK)

Sunday is a Chilled day

Today was Aunty Eäs last day with us so we had a lovely brackfast and droped her off to the bus. Then I did alittle more B&W stuff and spun some poi in the evening... I found a great spot to spin some poi (once I get home ill uplad the vids after some editing)

Saturday At the Farm

Today was a much more chilled day, I went out on the farm to do some work, I looked all over the barn and farm looking for nice photos to take, doing some derelict shoot. All in all I got some ideas but there is so much to see and shoot that I was kinda in overdrive. I am going to be doing some more while Iäm still here... but I will get fluff to help me find the really good shots.

We have Aunty E over for the weekend.

We had a lovely meal with chicken and julgubbes (strawberries) for afters... Gotta love them little red balls of joy lol
