The 1st of Advent

Today is the 1st Sunday of advent. the Swedish have a tradition of lighting a candle from today and every Sunday till Christmas day... 4 in total.

So in a round about way, tonight it the 1st night of putting Christmas decorations up. I know that in the next few days the flat is going to get all shiny and green. All I know is that i'm not having a real tree this year.

Min Osna

Something for my fluffy lady

What to do.... What to do?

I have some hard thinking to do... while out on the shoot I have been using a Canon 7d and I have fallen in love with it. The trouble is that just the body alone is around £1,200.00(alot more then I have).

I went with Sony for my camera and as great as it is, I have been thinking about jumping ship for a while. Canon and Nikon are to 2 top brands in the world of Photography, They do some sick camera's and there is a lot more support going there way. I'm going to a course in the new year and I know just having a SLR that's not one of the big too... I'm already behind the class.

Now Fluff gave me an idea... If I just ship now and get a Canon (500d/550d) build up my glass again and by the time I have the big bucks for the 7D then I will have everything I need (Glass, Speed-lights etc) as well as knowing the Canon systems inside and out...

Happy Street Music Video (Day 1)

What a crazy last few days, I have just spent the last 3 days shooting a Music video for a friend of mine. Happy Street is bring about a new song and Fluff and I where there to get stills and help out, Mostly behind the scenes but also some proper shoots for the both of us.

NinetyEight Bar Was the set for the next 3 days, A large white room with a smaller room with a piano. Filming on the 1st day was set to be a Winter and a Autumn scenes, It was a great to be there but shooting in between the Filming was hard without my own light set-ups and while they where filming, was even harder as Movement and the lack of light really put up a fight.

I do love the calm and smooth-ness of the shoot in front of the camera and then the crazy mental-ness behind the camera. day one ended with a shoot of walking through a golden door.... looking forward to seeing where that door leads.

This could work

Today I came up with a really cool but very long idea, While fluff and I walked around a sci-fi shop I had a through for a tattoo.

I just spent the last few hours putting this together using a shit load of pics and photoshop CS3.
the idea is from the bottom to the top is a trip from earth and woods (fantasy) to sky and citys (Sci-fi)

How many have you read?

Fluff showed me something on face-book today, It was a note from a friend of hers.
"Have you read more than 6 of these books? The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books listed here.."
This was something we both wanted to look at as Fluff is a book worm but so are a lot of people that we know, This is the top 20 of the list totalling 100.

1 Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

2 The Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien

3 Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte

4 Harry Potter series - JK Rowling

5 To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

6 The Bible

7 Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte

8 Nineteen Eighty Four - George Orwell

9 His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman

10 Great Expectations - Charles Dickens

11 Little Women - Louisa M Alcott

12 Tess of the D’Urbervilles - Thomas Hardy

13 Catch 22 - Joseph Heller

14 Complete Works of Shakespeare

15 Rebecca - Daphne Du Maurier

16 The Hobbit - JRR Tolkien

17 Birdsong - Sebastian Faulk

18 Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger

19 The Time Traveler’s Wife - Audrey Niffenegger

20 Middlemarch - George Eliot

Now I was never that into books while I was young and its only something I have really gotten into them till about 5 or 6 years ago. Now I can read a book in about 4months (as long as I'm Travailing a lot), but most of the ones I had read are not on this list.

I think its funny that the Harry potters books (7 books) come as one while "33- Chronicles of Narnia - CS Lewis and 36 - The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe - CS Lewis" come as 2 different books.

One of 4 bookshelf in our flat and we still have books of books back in Sweden... I think BBC are wrong about this!

Lack of Spinning

I really need to wok on my poi, Last weeks convention showed me that I have been really shit when it comes to spinning and I really do need a lot of work.

Wish me luck.

Actions and Consequences

Do you believe as i do that all actions have consequences?

I'm not talking about the "I trip = I fall" but in the daily live of beings on this earth? Everything that we do comes back on us in some other way. Every fight and evil thing that we say is always going to come back to bite us in the arss?

I've always belived that a actions always has a reactions, but in what way do some of these things come to pass... I try to lead a good life, and if im right about this - then so should we all.

Something Chilled

I find it funny to wright blogs on days when I did not do much, But sometimes you just need to push on.

Today was mostly a chilled day but I had an old friend over to play some games, He brought over Star Trek: Legacy, GTA3 and an old style fighter game called Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII.

We did not play any of the other games but I did get to kill some Klingon's

The Fat Tax!

Some of you might have heard of this but there are talk's of bringing in a Tax on high sugar foods and drinks.

Tonight Fluff and I are watching a Panorama on the subject and I have to say, NEVER listen to people that are making money from a product to give you an tureful responds.

A lady from Coke said in the show that "Tobacco is not healthy, not on any level but you cant say that about our,..... our coca-cola" What a load of crap.

As with the Tax on Smoking It will bring up the cost of eating rubbish foods and it will balance the budget between good food and fatty foods

Call of Duty: Black Ops

After playing the game for a few hours last night... I think I can say something about Call of Duty Black Ops - but 1st a little back story.

Activision has 2 teams working on the Call Of Duty franchise (COD)- Infinity Wars and Treyarch, each team takes turns brining out a game each year. Now COD was just another 1st person shooter set in WW2 for a long time till Infinity Wars lisened to the fans and came into the modern world.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out in 2007 and everyone loved it, not a single gamer has not played it and some still say its the best in the series. The next year there was so much hype that everyone was talking about CODs next game. Trouble is that it was a different studios turn to bring out the game and Treyarch (Still in WW2) did not live up to the high bar set by Infinity Wars.

If you have played the last game from Infinity Wars you will feel at home but I was a little shocked how the games engine is showing its age, the texture's look flat and not as good as Modern Warfare 2. The single player is short so I'm going to take my time with it.

But COD is all about the Multi-player and black ops has everything you need, plus added options to make the it even more fun. There is a few new modes like Wager Match, Combat Training and Zombie's.

If you are like me and you skipped World at war waiting for Modern Warfare 3, this is a lot closer to MW then you would think. the Multi-player is based on the Modern Warfare Multi-player with some extras.

Bringing a credit system to the game adds some nice touches to the game like "Wager Match" betting on yourself to come in the top 3 to win a load of cash(while losing will make you lose all of the bets). You can also use Contracts to earn in-game cash, Contracts are chosen before the game starts and pays you for completing an objective like X head shoots with an M16.

A down side of this COD Credits is that every time you unlock a gun or add-on, You then have to buy it with the same credits and every attachment has to be bought again.
There is more to the game that I have not played yet like the Zombies, Combat Training and the Dead Ops Arcade. This disk is packed with stuff to play with.

All in all I'm enjoying the game and I don't see it leaving my Xbox's disk tray for a while.

Croydon Day Trip

Tuesday's plan was some shopping with my folks and then Spits afterwards....
I got half the plan hehe.

Croydon is a Place in South London with what the U/S would call a MALL and UI would call a shopping centre named the Whitgift Center.

It was a really cool day out, Fluff and mum had loads of fun. Dad & I tagged along with the girls looking at shoes and different tops in H&M, doing the girlie bit and helping with the bags.

But I can say that with a smile on my face and a song in my heart... Guess why?

TLC 2010

The London Juggling Convention This year held at the Circus Space North London. There was 6 Work-shops on the day and they added a staff workshop as well so 7 all together.

As I did not have a Ticket I had to get up there 1st thing, Trouble is so did a load of other people.
I was lucky enough to be in the frist 50 in the queue so I was happy to walk past Kev at the door and see all my friends working inside, Nearly everyone I know from spits was there volunteering for the event.

Sony of the Day : Tinie Tempah feat. Eric Turner - Written In The Stars

To many times these days, a hip-hop/rap star just dubs an older great track to grab some fame but I miss tunes that work together with an artist.

This one is from Tinie Tempah feat. Eric Turner - Written In The Stars.... We need more songs like this!

Let The Wrong One In!

Today Fluff and I watched a movie, one that has been out and on our hard drive for a while but today was the day.

Let The Right One In is a Swedish 2004 vampire fiction novel by Swedish writer John Ajvide Lindqvist. In 2008 it was made into a Film and I might add a dam good one. Set in Stockholm in the 1980s and about a 12 year old boy and a vampire child of the same age (much older physical age) I really would say watch it.

Trouble is Just now I saw an add for "Let Me In" an Americanized version of this movie and dam it just missed the point, as what is always done with things from the U.S.

For the people that know me, know that I have smoked since I was 11.
but 3 years ago I stopped - cold turkey!

I was just coming outa the shower one day and I hear a voice coming from the bed. Fluffs sitting there with her phone and I'm hearing something that I just clicked with.

Happy 5th Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JINXIE!!

Yes in deed, today is my little cats 5th birthday. It feels like such a long time ago that I picked her up from a little flat in deep south London.

This was when she was a tiny little thing, that's a bottle of diet coke next to her to give it some scale. Her paws were way to big for her tiny body, and she would always sleep on the pillow next to me... Even if that happened to be on top of Fluffs face!

This was her 1st kitty, named Tango(later to be called Mysko) he was the first of 9 kittens she had before her mothering days where over.

A New Toy Tomorrow

Tomorrow A new toy comes out, something I have wanted since E3 last year and that is Kinect!
Its been out in the U.S since the 4th and I have been seeing things coming out for it since then. Kinect lets you interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller. Using natural gestures and spoken commands you can both play games and using the dash-bord.

Now what really sucks is that I'm going to have to wait till just after my birthday(next month) to get hold of it. I cant wait as I'm also getting the new console in sexy black, whisper quit and a 250GB hard drive.

Count Down starts now!

Jordgubbe yummys

I'm feeling hungry, And what makes it worse is i know just what I want - And I cant get it!!

Jordgubbe or otherwise know as Swedish Summer strawberries, Every year there are hunders of little stalls that spring up all over Skane... Next summer I'm going to eat so many im going to turn red.

Plants have souls

Flowers are a funny thing...
Fluff and I watched a show last night called The Secret Life of Plants.

This was a BBC documentary with David Attenborough, The one we watched was about the mating of different plants that mimic fly's and other insets to get them to pollinate the other flowers around the area. Some of these flowers trapped insets inside to make sure that they would get coved in pollen before they left.

Facing Controversy

This will give you all something to think about, not just the gamers that read this blog but in the world as a whole, Lets open are minds and what we think to the world.

Extra Credits is a new show on one of my Favorite gaming websites, but without all the childish through and the cheap digs, this show need to get more hits and visits as it deserves so much more.

Happy Street Live + Others

On Friday after the fireworks show, My friends and I headed off to Earls court for another mates gig, Happy Street is an old friend of Fluff and she is a singer song writer.

I was running late so I miss the band before her and 1/2 of her songs as well (Bad Skinny) but I was there to get some pics and hear her live... She was amazing

One of the other bands was really good as well, Zophia Amey and The Mat Treiber Group were really good, I really do love live music... always better then any of the crap on telly and radio right now.

the Full set list for the night at The Troubadour!

The Fawcett Inn - Portsmouth

The Fawcett Inn was the 1st pub I ever went to in Pompy, This was a raving pub, with a nice coastal feeling but with all the fun of a rave club. It had a dark room with black lights. great music, cool people and a beer garden that would make a hipping move in.

The fore mention beer garden was a thing of beauty! It had fairy's painted up the wall... plants that seem to come over head and cover the place giving it a magical look and feel with the fairy's looking out from gaps in the bushes...

And these few pics are all that id left of a once great and cool pub, The old owner died a while back and the new guys.... well they don't feel the same about the crown and its rich history with the raving seen in Portsmouth.

Old Friends for Pizza

The other night I had a good friend of mine pop around for Pizza and Beer.
Its been a while since I last saw him and it was really nice just chatting chaching up.

He lives down in the south but we used to meet up nearly every weekend to party back in the old DSI days.

Guy Folks Night 2010

On friday 2 of my friends and I headed up to Clapham common to see all the fire works.

It was packed with more people then I have ever seen up there, But it was wroth all the trouble with the tripod and the big bag. The photos cam out great and I am really happy with them

Pompy Birthday

Yesterday was a very good friend of mines birthday, And with a little luck and some planning I was able to go down and see him. So I went off to Portsmouth for the a night of drinking, chatting and just having a good time.

Karl's been one of my closest friends for push 8 years now and it was so nice to see him for his big day. In Sweden your birthday is seen as your new year. A time for reflecting on the year just gone and a time for change. What ever his has planed I'm sure it going to be a great one.

Sending him all our love and well wishes for the coming year.

Wednesday 3 November 2010

Bird or Cat

I think it would be great to be a bird, getting to fly and see the world from that kinda view, but then again I would love to be a cat. Hurting and cleaning myself in the sun. Us monkeys are a little to heavy footed for my like, I wanna be silent and and cool.

Borde of food? try this out

Me and Fluff love making food, getting everything together and making are mouths smile with taste.... Trouble is, we get borde very fast.

We eat many different types of food, from all over the world and always try something new if it comes up but cooking at home is always a run around of the same few things.
Chicken or Fish? Pork or Beef?

But today we did something different. Something I have never cooked before!

Sweetcorn Tune-Mayo with melted cheese in a hot jacket potato... Severed with a red onion salad with a muster dressing, Lovely and filling!

Long or Short Train times?

Only a few more days till I'm off to Pompy. Booked my ticket yesterday and I'm looking forward to it but then I looked on Google maps and it got me thinking.

This is a trip that once took many days on foot or on horse back. Now you can make it in just over 2 hours... It is really a crazy world we live in and makes you think where are we going to be in a few more hundred years.

Monday 1 November 2010

I can see you!

Bears are funny, they think that they can hide..... But they really cant!

Old & New

I'm one of them people that loves buying new things, Toys no one has and gadgets that everyone goes crazy over. But at the same time, I love old things. Clocks with moving parts - old tech that you can almost see working.

This goes over into places as well, seeing an old farm house mix in with new age building's. watching life bend its way around what humans have put there.

At the farm I have got to see this alot, old things that have been in the family for god knows how many years... Items not wroth much in money now but where used many years ago and most likely cost a shit load of money back then. I love fixing old things, seeing somthing come to life years after its broken down.
