Multi Friends

As I said in my last post... I met up with some friends today, A friend had come over from Canada and I through I would have missed her, so when I got a text about linking I took them up on it!

We met outside Shakespeare's Globe on the SouthBank of the themes... Thwey had biked in so we just took a nice long walk along the river. We had talked about bring along some tog gear as one of my friedn had just got a new bit of glass. A really nice 1.7 50mm, an old school lens with manual aperture.

We ended up at the skater park and as I had my tripod with me, We had a little fun  with multi exposers, Using a masking trick with-in photoshop.

As this is my last few days with the Wacom Bamboo tablet I wanted to put it to good use. Here is what I came up with ...

It was crazy how many extra people that got lost in the back grown... Hard to tell at the time but something to think about when we are going to do another one

Wagamama... Finally!

Today I went on a walk with some friends... One of the 1st words out of my friends was "FOOD!?"

So we walked alone the south bank and hit a Wagamama, Having never been to one before I was looking forward to it, It was nothing like I through it would be but I must say ti was really nice!

Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch, I will miss you!

Tonight I am saying good by to a good friend

Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch

Last year a friend of mine gave fluff a Wacom Bamboo tablet for her birthday, I remember getting very excited about it... Yes it was not given to me but I knew I could use it a lot with my photography work. Now Fluff is amazing when she gets down to her arts and drawing, Trouble is like with the eBook readers she is a little shy on going digital and has not used it very much.

Now she has moved to Sweden and we are slowly bring her stuff over, I must say good buy to this amazing little tool. I am happy she is going to start with PS drawing and I hope I have taught her enough to use this tablet to its fullest. I am really really excited to see what she makes as if she makes the jump from analogy to digital the world of drawing for her is going to open up so much.

Now I am going to be in the markit to get myself a new one, For use for photo editing it has been epic, to use the touch inputs is fun but with the pen you really can give the best input to photoshop and really make some great images.

I Love This Game!!

The other day I was walking in HMV and saw something on the shelf that grabbed my eye!

Hitman HD Trilogy is as you might have guest is a HD remake of one of my fav sets of games ever! I 1st played this on the PC and the playstation.

Now I am a BIG fan of stealth games, Trouble is these days you dont really get stealth games... Sure you get ones that you have to hide behind someone and kill them but you have to kill them. I like a game that is open ended and you can do the level with only killing the people that you have a contract on.

Other then this season of games there is only really Theft and they have not made a remake of that (The last Theft as shit btw) Anyways - If you have had enough of these games like COD or just pissed off at having a game hold your hand while it shows you pretty things then you will love this set of games.

I just finished the level "Curtains Down" with in witch I sneaked in to the back stage of an opera, Replaced a fake prop gun with a real one - And having someone else kill one target. While placing a boom under the seat of my 2nd target to blow once the 1st was shot on stage.

Setting this up takes alot of time and getting everything right to just sit back and watch all that work go so smoothly is just amazing! Gaming at its best without anything happening automatic both your own hard work is just bliss.

Now this was not the only way of doing it, I have worked out at least 4 ways of doing this mission and I bet there is more BUT getting someone to do the killing made it all the sweater.

Hitman HD Trilogy is a remake of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money. And for only £29.99 on Xbox360 & PS3 for 3 of the best stealth games from the last gen is so worth it that I would tell everyone to get it!

Mummys 59th Bday (20130226)

Today was my dear old mothers 59th birthday...

An amazing woman that has been through the wars and yet still I find her with a smile on her face and a good word in her heart. Today I wanted her to feel happy and feel loved, and with all the family around her... I think she felt it today as well!

Love you mummy!

Lifework: Norman Parkinson's Century of Style

I just got a text from a friend asking me if I would like to come to an exhibition to see the life work of Norman Parkinson next week.

for thos who dont know Norman Parkinson is a English portrait and fashion photographer, During the 2nd World War he served as a reconnaissance photographer over France and later he published images in Vogue as well as others, Then worked as a freelance photographer till the day he died in 1990.

The exhibition is on from the 1st of March till the 12th May at the National Theatre... you can find details on this LINK.

"Regarded as the father of modern fashion photography, 2013 marks the centenary of Norman Parkinson’s birth. Many of the tropes that are now commonplace in print and online images – exotic locations, unexpected props and weird juxtapositions – were introduced in the extraordinary photographs he took before and after the Second World War. Beyond the glamour that for many defines his work, he was also an incisive and skilful portrait photographer. This National Theatre exhibition will cover all aspects of his long career until his death in 1990."

Late presents!

As some of you know my birthday is in December... But today I got another mini party.

A very good friend of mine could not make it to my party so so promised to take me out for fika (Swedish coffee and cake).

She took me to a lovely little place in the back streets of Soho, Wish I would have got the name of the place now (Will find out and update this blog later)

We got some time together of witch we have not had in a long time and it was really nice to chat with her, To vent some things and to happyly remind her that I am not as crazy as I have been over the last few months and that the old skinny is still in here.

Thanks once again little Swedish Monster pusspuss

A Wet Room

Last week me and Ems went off to see the rain room at the Barbican, Trouble was that we did not have enough time to wait around and see this. We made a plan to go back this week and early enough to get to see it.

This week we went up, early and after a 3 hour wait, We got inside to find this amazing sight!

The idea of this was to have control over the weather, something most Londoners never have! As you step on the pannals on the floor, to turns the rain off above your head. So as you make your way through the room you (in theory) you never get wet. Trouble is you still get a little wet, as we found out and unlike my camera, Emilys is not weather sealed.

I must say that it was worth a look and I would tell anyone to go and check it out... if they have at least 2 hours to kill waiting and a max of 4.

While we were in there, Someone was getting some images of them taken, A dancer I think but she was a little on the heavy side from the dancers that I know.

Daddy-Os 60th

Today was my dad 60th birthday... Can you believe it.

On what was most likely a cold feb day in 1953 my dear old dad was born in East London.
With his life he must have seen some amazing things, The moon landing, Colour telly and the birth of the internet... That is really mind blowing!

Ive only know him for the last 28 but in that time he has always been someone to look up to, dont the right thing even if it was not easy and bring up us kids could not have been a walk through.

I just wanna say I love and respect you for the man that you are the the farther you have been to me and my brothers.

Thank you

Glowing Skinny

Yesterday as most of you would know was Valentine's day... My 1st year being single in 8 years and it was a bit of a mixed bag of emostions for me. I want on a long walk with my camera gear.

This walk took me from Londons Center points down to Southwalk (About 3/4miles) and I ended up going to a glow spinning meet at a Gym in south london.

This event was alot of fun even if there was only the 2 of us but I think it will really take off as its the only spin meet where we turn off all the lights and have a Glow session. Today I editted the video clips I made... Enjoy

Elements- Dubstep Violin Original- Lindsey Stirling

Dont you love it when you find something you like in the news feed on Facebook

Do love it when someone mixes styles, both in the Music and the Videos

Barbican (20130213)

There has been an event on at The Barbican  for the last few months

Random International: Rain Room

Slide
Waterfalls on slow shutter

Floor or Celin?
Well I wanted to see it and Peace talked me into going and seeing it today... We planed a rote and headed up there... We know it would tak a while waiting but when we got there is was a 2 hour queue. Not having that kinda time before I had to be away we instead had a little walk around the Barbican itself and I got some cool images.

While walking around we found the back door to the Rain Room, We got temped to just jump in but my karma would have a go at me so I said we will leave it till we can see it proper!

Morning Walk In Town (20130208)

Last friday was Pizza night, Trouble was I have been getting up at silly o'clock and I had alot of time to kill before I could go over for that night of pizza.

So I went into town for a walk and to take some pics... I had a really nice day, the sun was shining and I felt really good. My images show this off and I'm really happy with this set

A bit of the day was spent around horse guards and then into Green park...

I shot alot of images of birds... Always so whiling to get shot I guess but shooting them on a wide angle at 16mm was alot of fun!
