I just like its silly reviews and this guy has seen some shit movies (most of witch I have seen as well!)

Meeting Mick Foley (20120224)

Friday night was a great night! An alsome night! But I will start at the beginning!

The Funkasaurus Gets Foleyed

A few moths ago I saw on twitter that Mick Foley was doing a stand up tour and I thought, WOW thats different, he has been a great wrestler, I have read 2 of his books and I have always thought he was a funny man. A few weeks later I see that he is coming over to the UK for part of this stand up tour!! 

I was gutted that I missed it in November but then I saw that he was coming back in the new year... The VERY week between my Dads and Mums bday's. I saw this as fate as the only person I would go with would be my Dad who got me into wrestling when I was a kid.

Daddy-O & Mick

I had given my dad clues but he did not work it out till he was in the building and a smile just popped up on his face, I was so happy that he was smiling like a kid. After a little bit of queuing we got to meet the legend that is Hardcore, we got to say hello and a signed shirt as well, I got the pic for dad(see top image) but when it got to mine there was an issue with the flash(It did not go off) So if did not look great but dads was the most important one as I saw it.

The show was really good and the support acts were big fans so they just loved getting to do gags they just cant do on any other gig. The man himself was alot better then i thought, Now I am not saying that my expectations where low, they where high, but he both met and flew right by them. during the event my dad felt bad for me not getting a good pic he asked the MC if it was cool if i got another go at the end of the show, Shockingly he not only said yes but we could come back after the show and try it again! So I made sure that the camera worked fine this time around.

Bubble Tea?

If you just read the title you would probably be thinking what I thought when I was told we would be going to check out this place!

Fluff had been with K and Queenie to the place a few days back but we had seen it on our random travels in London. I loved the place and the vib in there BUT and this is a big smelly butt. I did not really like it! 

I got a Banana Milk shake with the normal bubbles and for over £5, It really did not go down well. Fluffs was better. She had a HOT carmel with yogurt bubbles, But being hot made it even more sweet and too sweet for her... Yea it kinda blew but it was a lot of fun and I have always loved doing something different!

Lets Start With Tues

Lets start at the start of the week.... Aka Tuesday lol!

As you guys know every Tuesday is spits for me, But It was also my Dads 59th birthday so I knew it was going to be a long one for me. We got to my folks place around about 15.30 and had a really short but nice time. Dad was really happy and  I got to get the tickets to my dads surprise pressy. 

To make things even more fun was I was carrying my whole kit bag as I needed it for later in the night, including my tripod but had to cross most of London with it all. 

I ended up having fun at spits and bumped into a few friends on rote (I never meet anyone I know in London let alone 3 of them at different points). I did some video and got some more tips from the guys how shoot videos a lot more than me...

I was really happy with this video, but this will be my last for a little while, my life's just to busy and this week I want to just spin! Talking of spinning, I got given a new staff from a friend for a really great price so Thanks dude. My glow staff should last a little longer thanks to you hehe

Wow What A Week!

ok this is going to be a few blogs posted about a few different days... so you will have to bear with me, 

In the last week I have had both my Mum and Dads birthday, Hacked my Kindle to use my own screen savers(Don't worry it is open-source babe!) Shooting a video for Spits, Meeting Mick Foley with my Dad, Seeing some of my old work mates from my hairdressing days AND gone out to a cheesy club night with the Girls where I shot the event.

WOW that alot of things!

Today I was sent something from a friend of mine... And yes, She is a lady friend of mine before you start moaning at me...

Mirror Shot!

 On my 1st server shoot with HappyStreet about 2 years back I worked along side a very good photographer named Louise(Louise May Photography). She used a flash mod called an O Flash other wise know as a ring flash. But unlike a ring flash this is not another toy with more batters and a cost of over £400, With an O Flash mod it fits onto the speed light you already have.

Now I got mine from Ebay for around £22.00 with free P&P, Sweet! Now as always when I get a new toy I will upload some test images but you will see my work better once I have time to play with it. I like the way it works but it does have a few kinks to work out (HotSpots)!

I know this is not going to be a shock to anyone that reads this but I really really do!

Green screens... Good?

Now, A little back story... 

This was a stand at last weeks BVE, It is a tech demo of some software that they were selling. The idea was that you can have multi feeds coming into a computer, Audio/Video and feeds from outside the studio. 

She was sitting on a stall with a screen and keyboard in front of her, and a green screen behind her. This software would take the feeds from 3 cameras, and cut her out past her in on the "news" set, add effect including shadows, reflections and a lot more things that I did not understand.

The screen above her head is the finished look, all done in real time and it really looked amazing!

BVE - Broadcast Video Expo (20120215)

For the people that don't know (don't worry I did not know till a few weeks ago) BVE stands for Broadcast Video Expo... aka an Expo for all the people in and around broadcasting. Television and live shows but almost anything to do with Video.

Now as you guys know I only just got into video(and still have a lot to learn) but I was looking forward to getting out and seeing what's happening in this world. My friend invited me to go along and as I was free I said, "why not?" Trouble is that he got ill the night before and could not make it.

A Sheep... Don't Ask

Now I was starting to think about not going, I knew nothing of this world and my friend would have been my guide, Showing me the ropes and telling me about things I did not yet understand. Now without anyone to tell me about this and that it seemed like it would just be a waste. But when the day came and with a little pep talk from Fluff, I through "What The Hell, It might just be a fun day out".

Me With The Nikon D4

I got to see some cool things at the show, most of it went right over my head and I belive i missed out on some cool things but at the same time I got to play with some call camera's, looked at some cool tech and best of all.... I got to hold the newest Nikon D4 before my ill friend could (His a BIG Nikon FanBoy!).

Just goes to show, Just cos its not going to be easy, does not mean you should miss out.

21th Century Skinny

As some of you might have seen on my YouTube Channel. I have been making some short clips for my juggling club "Spinning@".

The first was me just seeing what I could get, I have never really used the video on my new camera as I could not use my movie editing software. that changed after a chat with a fellow photography/camera man.

With a little work and some new software I got it working... So after my 1st spits (Spinning@) meeting using my camera in Filming mode!

Now I liked the vid but there were some things about it I really hated. the quietly of it was really bad and the formate was wrong. Also the settings on my camera were way out and most of the fast moving items just blurred.

I took some of the things my friends posted to me for advice and tips, Then used it with next weeks filming. I had some ideas and some images in my head so I set out to better my last film.



Now I believe this was much better, the quietly was much better, exported at 720p (the 1080p file was over 16GB), Trouble is that the formate was still the same once I uploaded it to YouTube. But that being said I am really happy with the idea behind the video. I will try again maybe not this week but I will do it soon, maybe when its a little warmer and were outside with more space.

It looks like Beverly Hills Police Department responded to an emergency call at the Beverly Hills Hotel where members of hotel staff and fire department officials attempted to revive her, It is not know how she died but knowing her past it might have something to do with drugs but I am only going by what's has happened of late.

Its a bit of a shock with the death of MJ not that long ago, My generation seem to be losing the people we grow up with seem to be popping there clog's in a very short space of time. 

But as always, we will always have the memory's of the times we had with her music!

Something to Keep An Eye On!

I was just watching some youtube vid and the normal add came on.... but unlike most addverts, I watch all of this one.. 

Now I know this is live action, and I know that I am a massive kung-fu fan... 

BUT

After a while of playing games you kinda work out what's in the game from the trailers. Little hints that are in the video (that they decide to leave in). I am thinking something link "True Crime Streets Of LA" but next gen version.I really really liked the that group of games but it was limited by the gen they where on.

Coming in 2012 Pre-Order for PC/PS3/Xbox, Its from Square Enix (Deus Ex/Final Fantasy) So you know its going to get a good start... Will let you know more when I do

As some of you might know, I can be very open minded and can even sometimes be political. If you had read any of my blogs you will know I can be out spoken and very open to share almost anything that I find online or from the rest of the world. 

Now with Christmas and all the cold weather, a lot of the guys from the occupy movement have left and gone to warmer places and the worlds eye has moved onto other things - but there are still some hardcore people sitting there in tents, Freezing there arsses off. So to bring some attention to these guys and to get some more people involved, There is an event happening this weekend in London.

Taking place outside St Paul's this weekend, Occstock is a FREE event with Poetry, Dance, Live arts like Dance and music as well as a magic show. Kicking off at 19.00 with the show all they ask is bring a tealight and something to sit on, oh and something to keep you nice and warm like a blanket (or even a Tit warmer?).
