L or none L?

Yes Yes Yes this is a lens blog, you know the drill, if you dont wanna hear camera talk go put your head in a metal bin and bang it really hard with a wooden spoon! For the rest of you......

After coming out from last weeks rave and seeing some of the images from other togs there I got a little of the green eye. Not really over anything bad just that they where all using fish eye lens(yes as in the eyes of a fish).I did borrow a friends super wide angle (10-20mm) and I cant believe ho much I missed using a lens like that. IN events and raves you cant always move back and you want to get as much as you can in the frame. (See below)
An Image I took with the WideAngle

At the mo I am stuck on a 24-70 so the wide angle is not very wide when you put it on a cropped censor camera. So having a wide angle to play with was a lot of fun. This week I have sold my old camera and now have some money to play with to get a new lens.

canon 16-35mm f 2.8
Now I would love to get the trinity of canon glass (16-35 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8 and the 70-200 f2.8) of witch I own one of. I saw the 16-35 f2.8 in Jacobs going for silly money. Trouble is that they sold it before I had the cash. SOOOO I have been looking at some 3rd party glass.

Tokina 16-28 f/2.8
Canon 10-22mm F3.5-45

SIGMA 8-16mm F4.5-5.6
Tokina AF 11-16mm

Now these lens range from aroun the £479 to about £800 and the one I would like brand new is around £1,200.00

Now - You do get what you pay for as my daddy always says... A friend tells me that the L and none L lens preform ruffle the same and paying so much extra is not worth it, But at the same time, when you buy a Canon L lens, you really do have peace of mind that that lens is going to be with you a long LONG time!

Now im going but to my reviews and research... Wish my luck!
