Always a bigger Fish!

I'm in a bit of a jam...

As many of you know, I have been saving for a new camera for a while now. And as its coming up to that time I have been looking for deals.

My long term plan was to get the camera with a cheap(lets say 50mm 1.8) lens and then save for the red ringed bad boys known as the Canons L lens.

While looking around I have seen 2 good deals, both come with a battery grip and either an extra battery or a 8GB CF memory card. The difference between them is only about £200.00 and the more expensive one comes with a Lens (18-135mm 3.5-5.6), But then I would have to buy the 50mm thats around £100.00 when you add that on, So only around £100 difference once you work it all out.

50mm
DEAL 1 (Remember to add on the 50mm after)
DEAL 2 (Better Zoom but not as detailed)

18-135mm
Now should I get the cheaper one and have the 50mm to play with while I save for the L glass or should I spend the little bit extra and get a lens thats not as sharp or fast but does have a far better zooming range?
